The Goodfellas Bluegrass Band is a five piece acoustic stringband performing all
over New York's southern tier as well as Northwestern Pennsylvania. Formed in
the Summer of 2002, The Goodfellas have been on a non-stop bluegrass thrill
ride. Pleasing audiences and gaining fans wherever we go, there's no end in
sight for what we can accomplish as a group. Never forgetting their bluegrass
roots, we push toward the future of bluegrass music. The Goodfellas have played
at various festivals and venues since the group began, ranging from large
outdoor stages to small bars. Your typical Goodfellas show ranges from the
traditional standards to the latest contemporary songs, with some original songs
and hot instrumentals thrown in for good measure. Over the years, we have shared
the bill with some of our favorite acts such as Tony Rice, Peter Rowan, Norman
Blake, Jack Lawrence, Rhonda Vincent & the Rage, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper,
Richard Greene, David Peterson & 1946, Claire Lynch, and even played at Vassar
Clements' last show before he passed on.
